Students and parents seeking help in any subject simply click on “Find a Tutor” anywhere on our web site and after a few short steps, a list of tutors appears.  They can review tutors’ profiles and contact the tutor by filling a short form.  That form is emailed to TutorNation.com first.  Our staff reviews these requests for legitimacy and the request is then forwarded to the tutor shortly.  Please visit http://www.tutornation.com/register/Requests.asp to view sample tutoring requests sent to our tutors.  From that point on, the tutor and student are in direct contact.

Over the past few years, we have maintained a strong visibility in major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, and many others.  We regularly advertise in educational web sites visited by students and parents looking for supplementary educational help.  We also have been active in limited local advertising.  This is where we can help each other.  Our goal is to significantly increase TutorNation.com’s visibility and its vital role and services through additional local marketing and promotion and at the same time create an opportunity for individuals to earn income.  We will do this through a win-win-win-win approach:

How does it work?

• As a TutorNation.com agent, you will be assigned to a Particular County (within your state) in which you live or can actively promote our website and services.  You can pick one or more counties.   
• You pay a minimal exclusivity fee based on total population (US Census data, July 2007) of county or counties for a period of one year.  We in return reward you with 70% of total revenues generated for that county. 
• The exclusivity fee is as follows:
  $1.00 per 1000 population (for populations of up to 1,000,000)
  $0.80 per 1000 population (for populations of 1,000,001 up to 3,000,000)
  $0.70 per 1000 population (for populations of 3,000,001 and higher)
  For example, the exclusivity fee for a county with a population of 100,000 is $100 for one year.   
• You earn 70% of new tutor registration fees.  Our current average individual tutor registration fee is $75.  Your average commission per individual tutor membership would be approximately $53.  Our commercial (tutoring services and learning centers who employ multiple tutors) tutoring registration fee is $235.  Your average commission for each new commercial tutoring membership would be approximately $165.  New tutor registrations are the result of your direct promotions and marketing, combined with our continuous online advertising.   
• Your involvement in promoting our web site in your county will result in more tutor registrations and more commissions for you.  As mentioned before, you still earn commissions even if new tutors in your county register as a result of our online promotions and other advertising.  Once you pay the exclusivity fee for a county, the 70% of new tutor membership commission is yours, no matter where the tutor hears about TutorNation.com.
• You also earn 50% on tutor membership renewals.  This will usually work only if new tutor registrations are for periods less than one-year (e.g. 3 months or 6 months memberships).  If you decide to renew your agreement with us after the first year, then one-year membership renewals also apply and incur a 50% commission for you.

  Your commission (based on 50% of $75 average tutor membership fee):

  Note:  in this example, you only need 6 to 9 new individual tutor registrations in one year to break even with your total investment.

  One-year exclusivity fee (Payable to TutorNation.com) = 2,000 X $0.80 = $1,600.00

  Your total investment = $2,000 - $2,300.00
  

  Yearly new individual tutor registration:  400
  Your commission (based on 70% of $75 average tutor membership fee):  400 X $52.50 = $21,000.00
  Yearly new commercial tutoring registration:  15
  Your commission (based on 70% of $235 membership fee) = 15 X $164.50 = $2,467.50
  Individual tutor renewals:  100
  Your commission (based on 50% of $75 average tutor membership fee): 
  100 X $37.50 = $3,750.00
  Your total income:  $21,000 + $2,467.50 + $3,750.00 = $27.217.50.00

  These are examples only and the outcome will vary depending on your county's population and your level of involvement in promoting TutorNation.com. In example 1, we assumed a tutor to population ratio of approximately 1 to 4000. For the second example, we assumed a tutor to population ratio of approximately 1 to 5000. It's more than reasonable and based on our past tutor registration statistics and other factors.
  

  I’m a tutor.  Can I register as a tutor and as an agent at the same time?
  

  Yes.  Keep in mind however that if you first sign up to be the agent for your county, you have exclusive right to that county.  It is your territory.  When you register as a tutor afterwards, you’ll earn a commission as a result of your own tutor registration.  Cool, isn’t it?
  
  

  Am I guaranteed to earn Income by signing up as an independent agent?
  

  Consider this as a small investment on your part with great income potential. We know we offer a great service - one that works or we wouldn’t be in business for over 11 years. We are also confident that once students and tutors find out about our services, they would want to visit the website and find out what it offers.   You can spend as little or as much time as you wish.  The ball is in your court.  But remember one thing: As more people know about TutorNation.com’s website and its services in your area, the better chances of tutor and instructor registration and as a result, more income for you.  It all depends what you’re comfortable with.  If you think you can make a few phone calls or send a few emails (not spam) to individuals who you know that might benefit from joining our network, then more power to you.  If you’re an educator and have contacts within a school district, then word of mouth advertising might do the job.  You can get more information on other marketing and promotion venues when you register to become an agent.  See below.

  How do I track my earnings as a result of new tutor registration in my area?

  Once you become an agent, you can login to your account and view all new tutor registrations for the county (counties) with date range.  You will be able to see new tutor’s name, tutoring membership type and cost, and your commission for that registration. 
  
  

  How do I get paid?

  Agent's commission as a result of tutor and instructor registration in agent’s territory will be mailed to agents by the 15th day of each month for the prior month’s earned commissions.

  Important Note: Agent sign-up is on a first come - first serve basis.  Once an agent selects a county as his/her territory, it will not be available for the entire year from the date of sign – up.  If the agent decides to have exclusive rights to that county after the first year, then that county will not be available for 2 years.
