tutoring sessions through the use of online messaging
platforms. With today's technology, tutors are not restricted
to use a specific online tutoring platform presented by
a third party who collects a fee for providing such service.
Many instant messaging platforms including our favorites
Microsoft
Netmeeting or MSN
Messenger feature many tools such as live audio, video,
file sharing, application sharing and whiteboard. They
are free to download and easy to use. You can conduct
tutoring sessions with anyone anywhere using these platforms
providing that your students have the same platform. |

do email/online tutoring work ? |
| When
you register as an email/online tutor, students
will be able to see the letters "E"
for email tutoring and/or "O"
for live online tutoring in your profile. They will
contact you by email requesting your services. You
must be prompt to reply to these requests. |

| Click on “Register
as a Tutor” or “Be a Tutor” anywhere
on the web site. When filling out the registration
form, check the appropriate boxes for email and/or
online tutoring. |

do students know that I can provide tutoring live
onlline and/or by eamil? |
| Your profile will
be highlighted by the letter “E”
for email tutoring, and the letter "O"
for live online tutoring. |

| No. Although the
initial tutoring requests will be forwarded to you
by TutorNation.com, you respond directly to the
student and independently arrange your tutoring
sessions. |

much are tutors expected to earn for email/online
tutoring? |
| Hourly fees set
by each tutor depend on the tutor's qualifications
and the subjects they teach. Usually, hourly fees
for email/online tutoring are slightly lower than
in-person tutoring. Beginning tutors and college
students' average income is about $15 per hour.
Certified teachers and professional tutors may charge
up to $40 per hour or more for their services. |
