I’ve always wanted to be a teacher. Therefore, after being laid off from GM, I had the opportunity to go back to school and earn a M.A. in education. After earning my degree, I was fortunate enough to find work in a small Catholic school, and then went on to find a teaching position with the Detroit Public School system.
