My special joy is teaching students how to learn. I tutored remedial English grammar and writing skills to students at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey, for two years. As a substitute, I also taught ESL and GED classes at the Adult School in Perth Amboy. In New York, I worked as a proofreader for Human Sciences Press which published scholarly journals. I also worked as an editorial assistant for the magazine of the New York CPA Society. My Bachelor’s degree is in English Literature
